We had a super exciting week in year 4, starting with a fantastic workshop on Tuesday all about digestion. We got to see the process from start to end using some crackers, bananas and plastic cups.
It was all thanks to the PHD Biology students from Warwick University, a brilliant hands on activity led by a fantastic team.

We started with crackers and saliva.
This all got chewed up and swallowed.
Then it mixed with our stomach acid.
Then it started passing through the intestines, getting squeezed and all the nutrients entering our bloodstream.
