Covid Message from West Midlands Police

Dear Parents and guardians,

As the situation with coronavirus continues to develop we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the covid restrictions and to ensure the welfare of all staff and children. We ask that you respect the restrictions your school has implemented to help cope during these challenging times.

West Midlands Police encourage all parents to follow school producers and government guidelines. If for any reason these guidelines are not respected then we will take appropriate action.  Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on 4 January 2021, only children of critical workers and vulnerable children and young people should attend school or college. All other pupils and students will receive remote education.

We all have a duty to make sure we work together to create a Covid-safe environment and it is important for children and parents to follow social distancing rules inside and outside school premises. The social distancing rules apply to everybody and we trust that everyone will follow these restrictions.

If these restrictions are breached by an individual or group, then we will enforce the coronavirus law by fining the individual or group.

We are working hard to keep you all safe from Coronavirus and from crime. We appreciate your support throughout these difficult times.

Yours sincerely,

West Midlands Police
