A change to the self-isolation period from 14 to 10 days has been announced, starting today.
People who test positive should continue to self-isolate for 10 days from onset of symptoms or 10 days from point of taking a positive test if asymptomatic.
Parents must inform the school if your child is ill and we recommend that if a child has any Covid symptoms that they get a test. For speed and efficiency book a drive in or walk in test, you will get results within 24hours. Speak to our Pastoral team if you need help with this. To protect the school community please inform the school of the results of the test immediately as it may affect others in school. If someone in your family tests positive the rest of the family members must isolate for 10 days. If your child tests positive over the Christmas holidays please inform the school immediately via our email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Southfields School now uses an online payment system called SIMS Pay which you can use to pay for school meals, school trips and school uniform. SIMS Pay is a secure and easy way to make payments to school and reduces the need to handle cash. If you have not already registered to use this system please ask the school office for a Registration Invitation. All we need from you is your email address.
You can find further help on how to register by clicking on this link: https://southfieldsprimary.com/sims-pay/

This is a reminder that children and staff should not be at school when unwell (whether symptoms are COVID-19 related or not), but also that nobody should be attending school if they have been advised to isolate by NHS Test and Trace, or someone in their household has COVID symptoms or is awaiting a test result. Anyone who has had contact with a confirmed case must isolate for a full 14 days.
